Reach out to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team at diversity@northcott.com.au for assistance or to discuss your individual needs.Who are we?The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented locally.As an NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, Northern Sydney, and Western Sydney. The ECA supports the activities that will improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 years with developmental delay and/or disability.What does this role look like daily?You will engage with a child and their family at several points. Each day will have different and often competing challenges for you to assess and demonstrate knowledge around, including but not limited to:Knowledge of 0-9 developmental milestones and the impact of known & unknown disabilities on children and their family''s support networks.Meeting Early Intervention Access with the NDIA.Receiving and interpreting various reports from allied health professionals and conveying that information to the family in a way that is easily understood.Liaise with community groups, overcome language barriers, and respect and be culturally responsive to various community groups across North Sydney and surrounding areas.Visit the link below to see how you can make a difference:Have a look at some of our team talking about their roles at Northcott:The skills and experience we are looking for include:Minimum Diploma tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Allied Health Professions, or other relevant professional fields.Understanding the importance of implementing a tailored and personalised approach to children and their families - one size does not fit all.Moderate report writing and IT skills, including database management, as you will write reports and provide details to the NDIA on a childs developmental and functional abilities, so proficient computer use is essential.Strong communication & interpersonal skills.Experience providing support to families using a family-focused and strengths-based approach.Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing evidence-based early childhood intervention strategies with families using a capacity-building approach.Other requirements include:Current Driver''s Licence - P1 minimum.Valid Working with Childrens Check Clearance - mandatory.Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain mandatory.Working Rights in Australia for Full-Time Employment.Induction Training Program We have a tailored training program to help you understand how we meet targets and see the highest standards.Supportive and experienced Team Leaders & Managers we want to see you succeed!Diverse and Inclusive Our teams are multi-cultural, which makes it a point to embrace different cultures and opinions.Benefits we offerA diverse group of people in a great team environment who share knowledge, pursue growth, and have a desire for excellence.Salary packaging, Perkbox, health and wellbeing benefits, and more.Great leave entitlements & flexible working environment.The role will be based out of our North Sydney office, covering the local region as it involves some travel to meet the child and families/carers in their community and home environment.To apply, please send an updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining the skills and experience relevant to the role''s requirements.If you have any questions outside the information provided, please email Katherine Lyle at katherine.lyle@northcott.com.au.About us:We dont just focus on the bottom line.
