We encourage individuals with invisible disabilities to apply and are ready to make the necessary adjustments to support your application and employment experience.Who are we?Northcott is an Early Childhood partner contracted to deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, Northern Sydney, and Western Sydney. The EC approach supports children aged 0-9 with developmental concerns/delays and/or disability.Key Responsibilities of the role:Support families who have concerns about their childs development by using knowledge of 0-9 years developmental milestones, completing observations, and using information from screening tools and/or assessments.Identify and explain the most appropriate pathway of supports, whether this be access to early supports or support with applying for the NDIS.Connect families with local mainstream and community services such as community or child health services, playgroups, childcare, parent support groups, education options, and recreation.Work with families to identify their goals and priorities for their child.Support families with implementing their childs NDIS plan and finding service providers that meet the needs of the child and family.The skills and experience we are looking for include:Minimum Diploma tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Allied Health or other relevant professional field.Understanding the importance of implementing a tailored and personalised approach to children and their families in delivering the early childhood approach.Moderate report writing and IT skills, including database management.Strong communication & interpersonal skills.Experience providing support to families using a family-focused and strengths-based approach.Demonstrated experience supporting and implementing evidence-based early childhood intervention strategies with families.Experience working in collaboration with mainstream and community stakeholders for best outcomes for children and families.Other requirements include:Current Driver''s Licence - P1 minimum.Valid Working with Childrens Check Clearance - mandatory.Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain mandatory.Working Rights in Australia.Induction Training Programtailored training program to help you understand how we meet targets and achieve the highest standards.Supportive and experienced Team Leaders & Managers.Diverse and InclusiveOur teams are multi-cultural, and we embrace different cultures and opinions.Benefits we offerA diverse group of people in a great team environment who share knowledge, pursue growth, and a desire for excellence.Salary packaging, Perkbox, health and wellbeing benefits, and more.Great leave entitlements & flexible working environment.The role will be based out of our Seven Hills and North Parramatta offices, covering the local region as it involves some travel to meet the child and families/carers in their community and home environment.To apply, please send an updated resume and a brief cover letter outlining the skills and experience relevant to the role''s requirements.Northcott will review candidates throughout the recruitment process, likely before the close date and you will be advised of an outcome.
