Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and daily operations of our programs in Toowoomba. They will ensure customers are provided with high quality support consistent with the principles and application of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework. This role has an emphasis on providing practice leadership to our staff team, fostering open communication and a culture of cohesion.Toowoomba''s programs assist young people to learn social skills, independent living skills including cooking and other life skills training, as well as supporting participants to access the community and engage with peers, with plenty of focus on creativity and wellbeing too.Are you a great leader, who knows how to communicate and mentor our team effectively, maintaining consistent high standards and creating a supportive and inclusive environment? This is your opportunity to lead your own team on a daily basis.A typical day as a Toowoomba Coordinator involves (but is not limited to):Coordinating daily programs and activities including Everyday Life skills and after school programs.Delivering on program outcomes and customer goals.Prioritising and meeting the competing needs of our customers and team of staff.Nurturing and retaining relationships with customers, families and your team.Identifying, assessing and resolving problems using an active person-centred approach.Proactively training the team to ensure the highest standard of customer outcomes.Reviewing and updating rosters, supporting Policy and Procedure compliance and reporting requirements.Essential Experience and skillsEncourages a strong customer focus and builds understanding of customers perspectives within the team.Explores and identifies solutions to barriers which may limit customer potential.Communicates in a way that is appropriate for the situation and that promotes the organisational values of being Innovative, Respectful and Brave.Considers business unit and organisational objectives when making decisions and going about their work.Prioritises and plans daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks to achieve customer and team outcomes.Leading a high performing team across multiple programs. Open to new ideas and ways of thinking and empowering others to explore new approaches to longstanding or emerging problems.Understanding of NDIS standards, Workplace Health & Safety and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.In-depth knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS plans and funding.Proven ability to meet competing needs, priorities, targets, KPIs and business objectives.High level admin skills, including computer literacy, in particular proficiency with Microsoft programs.Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Disability, Recreation or other relevant professional field is highly desirable.A current first aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).A Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).NDISWC or willingness to obtain.Why work for us?As an employer we are proud to offer a family friendly workplace and not for profit salary packaging which can increase your take home pay and a new reward and recognition program that entitles you to discounts with a range of retailers, dining, entertainment and life-style brands.
