TíœV SíœD Hiring for Senior EMC Engineer- New Brighton MN LocationConsidering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.Please find the job description below for your reference and if interested request you to send me your updated resume Title: Senior EMC EngineerCompany: TUV SUDDuration: Full Time Employment(Permanent position)Location: New Brighton MN LocationTíœV SíœD America Inc., a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has an immediate opening for an EMC Test Engineer in New Brighton, MN.- Perform EMC testing per the requirements detailed in National and international regulatory standards and test procedures in a laboratory environment.- Prepare and review test reports and provide constructive feedback to other personnel to increase the overall quality of the final product.- Keep abreast of the latest design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in relevant technical areas.- Maintain knowledge of proper operational procedures of all relevant test equipment.- Stay up to date with current product standards, test procedures, instrumentation, and technology by participating in internal training sessions, attending external seminars, and reading technical articles.- Keep abreast of the latest EMC design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in the technical areas of shielding, filtering, grounding, bonding, cabling, gasketing, waveguides, and printed circuit board layout methods.- Maintain knowledge of proper operational procedures of all test equipment including spectrum analyzers, EMC receivers, preamplifiers, quasi-peak adapters, signal/impulse generators, antennas, oscilloscopes, etc. Assure proper calibration and functioning of all test equipment.- Keep abreast of current EMC standards, test procedures, instrumentation, technology, and TíœV engineering service capabilities by internal training sessions, external seminars, and reading technical articles.- Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers in all circumstances including answering questions, relaying messages, and providing information with regard to standards, test procedures, technical recommendations for compliance, and certification requirements.- Provide support to customers regarding the application of standards, test procedures, and certification requirements- Work with account executives and inside sales teams to determine customer testing requirements and help develop test plans- Perform at a level of excellence that represents yourself, your team, and the Company with pride- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering discipline or at least 3 years of relevant testing experience- Regulatory testing experience for the FCC, ISED Canada, and the EU (ETSI); Other international markets is a plus- Knowledge of wireless / RF communication systems and protocols for existing and emerging technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, 4G, and other license-exempt and licensed devices- Demonstrate knowledge in the use of relevant test equipment and automation software- Prior experience in an electronics laboratory environment (School or otherwise)- Customer-focused, possess good communications skills, work well in a team environment, take direction positively, and contribute to the group- Self-directed, improvement minded, and an ability to adapt to changing circumstances- Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers in all circumstances including answering questions, relaying messages, and providing information regarding standards, test procedures, technical recommendations for compliance, and certification requirements.- Excellent knowledge of and be proficient in the use of most MS Office applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
