AKA Hotels+Hotel Residences is on the lookout for a talented Conference Services Manager to join our dynamic team at Hotel AKA Alexandria! This pivotal role involves overseeing conference services, nurturing relationships with small groups, and providing essential sales support, be responsible for servicing the property's top accounts and securing group business.Hotel AKA Alexandria opened in 2023 and presents a dramatic new addition to historic Old Town, Alexandria. Designed by visionary architect Piero Lissoni, our brand-new accommodations set new standards in sophisticated luxury, with thoughtful lifestyle amenities, unique experiential programs, and unmatched service. The hotel features 180 rooms and suites and 14,000 square feet of flexible meetings and events space including a.terrace, a unique outdoor venue. Team Member ResponsibilitiesPrimary contact for meeting and event planner after signing of group contract and responsible for planningfinalizing details until after group departs, ensuring a successful group and repeat bookingsPartner with Food and Beverage, Accounting, and Front Office Operations daily to communicate updates to billing procedures, menus, meeting space set-up, and VIPsAudit group contract and Delphi contacts and bookings, to ensure accuracy of dates, VIP requests and blocked meeting spaceProcess Banquet Event Orders in a timely manner for the clients, happily accommodating any changes that are within scope and communicating with teamDistribute Banquet Event Orders and group resumes to appropriate hotel departments to facilitate efficient purchasing, planning, and employee schedulingAvailable to meet with clients for pre-convention meetings as required, and host the meeting to include Department heads, upon client requestAssists Director of Sales and Director of Food and Beverage with menu recommendations and updates as neededPartner with team to field group leads and quote, book, and service social and small corporate group blocks at Hotel AKA Alexandria.Following group conversion, provide planning and onsite services as requestedPartner with Catering Manager to further drive social events from existing group contract blocksSupport Business Travel segment as requested to include providing administrative support during RFP season ensuring leads are responded to in a timely manner, ensuring internal CRM system is up to date and rates are loadedJoin weekly area sales meeting to review all segments, forecasts, and collaborate on forward-thinking actionsPrepare reports and additional tasks as required by the Director of SalesSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from a four"year College or University preferredMinimum 2-3 years in hospitality required, preferably in a sales or operational settingSystem knowledge preferred in Windows, Opera PMS, Social Tables, and DelphiStrong guest service, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsMust be energetic, self-starter, and detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time management, and organization skills with an emphasis on attention to detailAbility interact with a diversified group of people both internally and externallyAdaptable to daily frequent changes in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule required based on client needs and time zonesAKA Hotels + Hotel Residences is a part of Korman Communities, a family owned and operated company, we consider our Team Members the most important asset.
