Besides being a solid technical role, this position requires strong people skills and enjoys the dynamic nature of GVEC's environment.How You'll Helpand troubleshoot a scalable ISP network, including topological protocol hierarchies, redundancy and policiesunderstanding of IP Routing Protocols, design, and optimizationand implement network solutions-based architectures to increase efficienciesscheduled network maintenance activitieson one or more projects as a team member and occasionally as a project team leadnetwork standards and provide feedback to the Network Teamand consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience for both internal and external customersafter-hours On-Call support as requiredPerform all other duties as assignedExperienceSkills You'll Needyears' experience with Service Provider network design and supportunderstanding and application experience with BGP, RSVP, LDP, MPLS and OSPFin fault isolation logic and techniques independentlyunderstanding of MPLS-enabled networks and applications (l3vpn, l2tp, vpls)of Ethernet Layer 2 protocols and technologies: VLANs, rSTP and Metro Ringsunderstanding of TCPIP (both IPv4IPv6)operational knowledge of Cisco, Brocade and Juniper routers and switchesto script using PERLPythonShell is desirableverbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and confidentlyproblem-solving skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot minor issues independently with an impeccable sense of integrityYou'll Need (continued)ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentplayer with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the teamPreferred ExperienceSkillsdegree (BA or BS); technical degree required, with relevant experience- Cisco CCNP andor Juniper JNCISYour Pay The pay range for this role is between $111,000 - $142,000 annually. Pay will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of Cooperative benchmarks set forth annually.
