Job Description

KSI Engineering, Inc. is looking for an Electrical Engineer who is interested in joining a multi-disciplinary team focused on serving relationship-based clients and internal business units across multiple states.KSI is a privately-owned, sole-source service provider of engineering, fabrication, construction, and maintenance services to multiple industries including upstream oil and gas production, natural gas treating and transportation, refining, co-generation, heavy industrial, utilities, water treatment, and all types of pipelines. Prioritizing innovation and technology integration with our day-to-day operations, we are committed to providing best-in-class services to customers while developing and cross-training our team.The Electrical Engineer's responsibilities will be focused on supporting our existing customer base while also supporting internal stakeholders through the development of KSI-specific standards. Successful candidates will exhibit proven experience in the design of electrical facilities, systems, and construction packages in their career. Outstanding candidates should possess strong communication & interpersonal skills, have experience working in design project teams, and be proficient with design-build, EPC, or integrated services projects. Requirements, Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of Oil & Gas industry experience Must have a valid driver's licenseEssential Job Functions Regular and reliable attendance.Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment. (i.e. ETAP, Easy Power, SKM, AutoCAD)Coordinate with construction & operations personnel to scope projects properly.Collaborating with drafters, designers, other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.Provide oversight and mentor electrical drafters & designers.Must create, read, and interpret engineering reports.Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirementsCompleting quality assurance on all electrical drawings and projectsAnalyzing and approving various construction and engineering plans.Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment.Substantiate the thorough planning, scheduling, and budgeting of the work required.Work with other disciplines and departments in problem solving.Follow all KSI Engineering, Inc. safety, and customer policies and procedures.Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering.Additional tasks as required.Shall perform all physical and mental requirements listed.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read and write in EnglishAbility to comprehend and communicate instructions in EnglishAbility to communicate with employees and various business partners in a professional and courteous manner.Knowledge of technology (iPads, cellphones etc.)Proficient computer skills, Microsoft OfficeExperience with CAD softwareKnowledge with As-builts, field surveys, panel design, wiring diagrams etc.Must be detail orientedProblem solving skillsAbility to multitask and prioritizeMust be able to work in a team environmentWorking Conditions:The work environment and working conditions described here are representative of those that are typical of the job and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).Working Hours:Normally, a full-time employee will work 40 hours per week, depending on the factors such as weather and schedules. Work schedules and hours may vary depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include modified 980, and 5-8's.
