Maimonides is an affiliate of Northwell Health and a major clinical training site for SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.Maimonides Health is currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker to work in our OBGYN department who will specialize in supporting patients dealing with pregnancy issues, pregnancy loss, infertility, gynecologic cancers, and pelvic floor problems. You help patients manage the complexities and emotional challenges.Specifically, you will provide: Emotional Support and CounselingPatient Advocacy and LiaisonResource Navigation and ReferralEducation and Prevention, Provide workshops and support groupsCollaboration with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care and progress.Crisis Intervention, especially in situations involving acute emotional distress.Documentation and Record KeepingQualifications:Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required.Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.Experience in women's health, particularly in areas of pregnancy, infertility, and gynecologic health.Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary passionate and knowledgeable individual who can provide comprehensive support to women facing complex health challenges, ensuring their emotional and social needs are met alongside their medical care.Salary $41.10-58.19hour: For immediate consideration, please forward a resume to Medical Center (MMC) is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
