Purpose of Position:The purpose of this position is to coordinate, record, update and monitor all Minimum Data Set documentation for each Medicare patient as required by state regulations and other appropriate authorities. MDS Coordinator Responsibilities: To perform this job, an individual must accomplish each essential function satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.   Regulate and maintain the MDS/PPS program and completion schedule Develop and coordinate appropriate nursing care plan from MDS/RUG category Analyze assessment data independently for complex patient problems and identify early subtle changes that formulate RUG categories and effect patient care Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care plans; update MDS/RAI process within completion guidelines Promptly respond to all emergency calls with appropriate emergency intervention Provide care to patients including administration of treatments, medications, social and emotional support Other duties as assigned Registered Nurse Qualifications:  Currently licensed in the state of Tennessee or compact state as a Registered Nurse (RN) Current CPR certification Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds Supervise support staff including training, scheduling and assigning work; reviewing performance and assisting in problem-solving for staff issues EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Our Organization does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or any other characteristic(s) protected by federal, state, and local laws.
