Job Description:Sonographer IFunctions as a healthcare provider who, working under the supervision of the Radiology management team, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generationSonography education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performedMaintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job locationMust be able to participate in "stand-by/on-call" rotation after regular department hours, weekends and holidaysAbility to foster a collaborative atmosphere with other members of the healthcare teamEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES Graduate of approved Ultrasound training programValid Oregon permanent or temporary OBMI license required upon hireMust obtain an ARDMS registry within six monthsAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)Holds a minimum of three specialty certifications from one or more of the following certification boards:Sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)EXPERIENCE One year of prior sonographer experience preferredGENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: UFCWThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
